COVID-19 Updates

We continue to refine our COVID-19 response to provide the safest environment for our team members, customers and vendors. According to the CDC wearing facial coverings has proven to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Effective July 21st we will require all customers to wear masks (except for young children and those with medical conditions). Each day is bringing new challenges that we are working hard to find the best possible solution for all concerned. Thank you for shopping at Ingles.


Social Distancing and Face Coverings

We care greatly about the health and safety of our customers and our associates that serve them. Appropriate face covering and social distancing measures recommended by the CDC are a very important part of protecting our customers and associates.

In our stores customers and associates are required to wear face coverings, subject to certain exceptions. We have prominent signage and we use our in-house radio to encourage mask compliance and recommended social distancing. Our checkout lanes have plexiglass shields and store signage is used to keep customers safely separated while they shop and check out. We offer contactless payment. There is currently a coin shortage so we are encouraging customers to have exact change or to use electronic means of payment. We offer contactless payment.

Because of COVID-19, customers that bring in reusable bags will be asked to bag their own groceries. Our associates are always available to bag customer purchases in bags provided by Ingles.
