Jonathan Ammons

Jonathan Ammons is the Editor-in-Chief of Dirty Spoon media. A bartender, cook, and writer, he helped open the MG Road Cocktail Lounge in Asheville before staging at the Bazaar by Jose Andres in Los Angeles, and the Aviary by Grant Achatz in Chicago, where he discovered a love of foreign flavors. After leaving the kitchen for the keyboard, Ammons shifted his focus from fine food and drink to flavors for the everyman; affordable eats, and dishes that won't break the bank as well as access to healthy and enriching foods have become the linchpin of his work and writing.
