Cinnamon-Apple Chex® Mix (1/2 Recipe)

Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups Wheat Chex® cereal
- 1/2 cup lightly salted whole almonds
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped dried apples
- 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt-covered raisins
Preparation Directions:
- In medium microwavable bowl, mix cereal and almonds.
- In microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon uncovered on High 45 to 60 seconds, stirring halfway through microwave time, until mixture is boiling; stir. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 2 minutes, stirring and scraping bowl after 1 minute. Stir in apples; microwave uncovered on High about 1 minute or until apples just begin to brown on edges.
- Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes. Place in serving bowl; stir in yogurt-covered raisins. Store in airtight container. Oven Directions: Heat oven to 300°F. In ungreased 13x9-inch pan, mix cereal and almonds. In 1-quart saucepan, heat butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
- Bake 15 minutes. Stir in apples; bake an additional 15 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes. Place in serving bowl; stir in yogurt-covered raisins. Store in airtight container.
