ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- (March 23, 2007) -- Ingles Markets, Incorporated of Asheville, N.C., (NASDAQ: IMKTA) announced today that while a small portion of Laura Lynn wet dog food products (sliced or chopped wet varieties) were recalled, it was limited to a few product codes and dates. Not all Laura Lynn pet food is recalled. No bagged or dry Laura Lynn cat or dog food products or Laura Lynn cat or dog treat products were part of the recall. Any Laura Lynn pet food products currently on our shelves are NOT part of the recall and are produced by manufacturers and distributors other than Menu Foods.
Ingles responded immediately to the nationwide recall by removing all affected brands, lot numbers, and dates affected. Ingles can assure shoppers that all remaining pet products from any manufacturers on the shelf are not a part of the recall.
