Who should get a flu shot?
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommends that everyone get a flu shot but for the following is is especially important:
- pregnant women
- people aged 50 and older
- those with chronic medical conditions (check with your physician)
- people living in nursing homes or long term care facilities
- health care workers
- day care providers of children 6 months or younger
Where can I get a flu shot? Please click on your state on the map below, or contact the Ingles customer service department (866-226-7168).
How much does it cost? Medicare Part B and many insurance plans and HMO's will cover the cost of shots and you will not need to pay anything. Employees and customers should bring their Medicare Part B cards or insurance cards. Check with your own insurance company to find out their policy.
Rates this year are as follows:
$30 - Influenza (flu) or $27 if you have an Ingles Advantage card.
$45 - Pneumonia.
The Maxim nurses will accept cash or a personal check. No credit cards.
