How To Eat Less Sugar
Cutting down on sugar and sweet can help with carbohydrate intake and also weight loss. Here are some ways to use less sugar:
- Baking - you should be able to reduce the amount of sugar in most cookie, cake and baked good recipes by 1/4 - 1/3 without noticing.
- Yogurt - Instead of buying sweetened yogurts or even artificially sweetened yogurt use plain yogurt and add microwaved fruit like strawberries or a teaspoon on a low sugar or sugar-free jam.
- Cakes - Instead of using icing on a cake sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
- Waffles or Pancakes - Use sugar free syrup or jam, no sugar added pie filling or pureed fruit.
