Keys To Healthy Aging!

Do you know a senior who looks and acts years younger? What are the secrets to their "fountain of youth"? The Harvard Study of Adult Development followed more than 800 men and women from adolescence to old age and found that certain behaviors contributed to living long, happy and healthy lives:
- Avoiding cigarettes
- Keeping a healthy weight
- Exercising regularly
- Having the ability to adjust and cope with difficulties
- Maintaining strong relationships
- Pursuing education
I know my mother, who just turned 75, is often thought to be at least 5-10 years younger. For my mom and other seniors, the keys are to keep active and involved and maintain healthy habits. These types of behaviors help prevent illness and work towards insuring healthy aging.
